Jennifer Thomas - Jennifer began her dance training at the age of 5 and fell in love with all aspects of the art. At the age of 10 she joined a prestigious children's performance troupe in Tampa, called "Just Kids", where she performed throughout the state. She has studied all styles of dance with many artists, but Jackie Loto instilled in her a love for teaching which began in 1990. She studied and earned her certification with Florida Dance Masters Association and continues to further her education through various dance conventions and seminars. In 1991, she was invited to tour the country as an assistant teacher with Hoctor's Dance Caravan where she assisted former Rockette, Sonya Livingston and the late tap legend, Al Gilbert. Jennifer's love of dance and theater led her to choreograph and perform in many local theater productions, including Jesus Christ Superstar, A Chorus Line, and Smokey Joe’s Cafe to name a few. She has had several groups invited to perform at Walt Disney World Magic Music Days and her choreography has won several high awards at numerous competitions. She has been the choreographer for Riverview High School’s Superior-Rated Vision Show Choir since 2005. Jennifer's most memorable moment happened during a visit to Ruth Eckerd Hall to see the late Gregory Hines perform. He invited tappers to join him onstage where she was asked to perform for him and received great praise and a hug she will never forget. Her greatest joys are her three beautiful daughters and a supportive husband. She hopes to instill a love for the art of dance to her students and looks forward to seeing them become the star that they are!
